Dr. Victor Chen is Director of Data Analytics and Insights, Experimental Design and Causal Inference at Fidelity Investments. He is passionate about prescriptive/causal analytics and knowledge synthesis, and has a unique background combining rigorous academic research, real world applications, and entrepreneurial experiences.

2022 Talk: Causal Knowledge Graph-Infused Data Analytics In Business Decisions

This presentation seeks to demonstrate a novel solution for explainable prescriptive analytics that draws collective intelligence of experts to optimize enterprise performance management (EPM) decisions. The project involves a system named Knowledge Graph-Based Reasoning Artificial Intelligence Network (KG-BRAIN). KG-BRAIN proposes to help organizations deal with complex EPM tasks concerning multiple stakeholders’ demands. The KG-BRAIN bridges this gap with an explainable AI system by integrating EPM causal knowledge graph, machine reading, and visual informatics. KG-BRAIN will (a) automatically synthesize fragmented causal statements from both practitioners and the literature in social, behavioral, and economic sciences, (b) visually represent synthesized knowledge as causal knowledge graphs, and (c) intuitively run causal data analysis.
